In a landmark collaboration, the European Network of Logistics Competence Centers at regional level (OPEN ENLoCC) has joined forces with the Food4CE project, marking its first partnership in a European project. OPEN ENLoCC is set to play a pivotal role in the project’s Work Package 3 (WP3) – “AFN Policy Making Support and Strategic Planning Framework,” specifically focusing on the AFN Innovation Hub Sustainability Framework, and contributing to essential reports.
The Food4CE project, funded by the INTERREG Central Europe Program, aims to transform and enhance the sustainability and accessibility of food networks across Central Europe. As the project’s communication and dissemination lead, OPEN ENLoCC will work to ensure that the project’s progress and findings are effectively communicated to a wide audience.
Within WP3, OPEN ENLoCC’s role is multi-faceted. The organization will primarily oversee the development of the AFN Innovation Hub Sustainability Framework. This comprehensive framework will serve as a cornerstone for the project’s sustainability efforts, providing a structured approach to assess and enhance the sustainability of alternative food networks (AFNs).
Part of OPEN ENLoCC’s responsibility within this framework involves the creation of essential reports. These include the “Sustainability Report and Collaboration Agreement with Regional Innovation Hubs” and the “Agreement for Continuous Knowledge Platform Feeding.” These reports will not only assess the sustainability of AFNs but also facilitate collaboration between regional innovation hubs and ensure a steady flow of knowledge within the project.
OPEN ENLoCC’s dedication to communication and dissemination will be instrumental in raising awareness about the project’s objectives and achievements. By employing various communication channels and strategies, OPEN ENLoCC will ensure that stakeholders, policymakers, and the public are well-informed about the progress and impact of Food4CE.
This collaboration between Food4CE and OPEN ENLoCC represents a significant step towards enhancing the sustainability of food supply chains in Central Europe. OPEN ENLoCC’s multifaceted role in WP3 and its commitment to effective communication and dissemination will play a crucial part in achieving the project’s goals.
As Food4CE moves forward, the valuable contributions of OPEN ENLoCC will continue to shape the development and sustainability of alternative food networks in the region. Stay tuned for updates on the project’s progress and outcomes as OPEN ENLoCC takes its first steps in the European project arena.
